John Lidstone has enjoyed a varied and eventful life in business and public service. Internationally recognised as a broadcaster, public speaker and author of 16 best-selling books on business, his distinguished career has taken him across the world and into the paths of an intriguing array of people: From five Prime Ministers to Hugh Hefner, Paul Getty and Dirk Bogarde; the Archbishop of Canterbury to Frankie Howerd.  To name but a few…

His published memoirs How Did You Know All These People? has been inspired by the many requests from friends, audiences and business people to record some of the highlights of his long and fascinating life.

John taught English at Repton before going into industry and helping to found one of the most successful marketing consultancy and training companies in Europe.  He has twice stood for Parliamentary candidacy; advised business leaders and politicians; and given evidence to Select Committees. In his long and varied career he has met and worked with a huge number of the great and the good (not to mention the the not-so-good!), and his memoirs give a glimpse into their lives as well as his own.

Expert, confident and eloquent, occasionally outspoken, but always charming, John takes us through some of the key events and anecdotes of his life and some of the many colourful characters with whom he has crossed paths.
